Feeling Badly

This past week, Kate has been a trooper, even though she has been under the weather. We went to the doctor, and she told us that Katie has an ear infection, cold and cough. Plus, she has popped three teeth this week. The poor thing hasn't known which way is up. Fortunately, I had two snow days last week (have I mentioned I love my job?!), Greg had a day off, Greg's mom Terri watched her, and now I have a three-day weekend. It has been great keeping her home with family who will take care of her and hold her all day long. I know it has helped, because the last few days Kate has been acting a little like her regular self.  I realize my last few posts have had pictures of Kate in jammies, but she has been living in them for the past week or so.

Baby Jail

Kate really likes her crib, but only when she gets to play in it. Lately she has wanted to pull herself up and stand on her own. As I snapped these pictures, she stood independently during the ten minutes it took me to get these shots. I can't believe how big - and cute - she is getting!

Katie Loves Liverpool

For the past two days, it has been snowing like crazy. Yesterday afternoon, Greg went out to shovel the snow off the driveway. As he was getting ready, he gathered all his outside gear and put it on the coffee table in the living room. Katie was in her baby center station nearby and she took the opportunity to steal dad's Liverpool hat. She had a little help from Greg putting it on, but she seems to like wearing it. I have to admit, soccer isn't my favorite sport. However, I will gladly cheer for any team that makes my kid look this cute!

Snow Day: Part Deux

This morning, I received the magic phone call at 4:59 a.m. It was official - we were having a snow day! This is the fourth snow day of the year, so I was pretty happy. After all, instead of going to work, I get to hang out with this all day:

She seems pretty excited about mom getting to stay home and hang out with her, too!

What A Faker

Tonight, Kate was a little out of sorts. She didn't take an afternoon nap, she refused food this evening - which she never does - and she is going through a growth spurt right now. In this video, she begins throwing a fit, wanting me to feel sorry for her. It was working for about ten seconds, until the end of the video. Notice how, in the last three seconds, she realizes she isn't getting anywhere and gives up. Judging by how loud she was while she was crying, I think she might have my temper. This may just be Greg's worst nightmare.
