Can You Find Katie in This Mess?

Look at this mess! The other day, I walked in to find this in my living room:

That's what happens when Greg and Kate are left to their own devices before I get home from work. My living room gets destroyed! It's a good thing they're both so cute, or else I would really be mad.

Busy Girl

Lately, Kate has been busy. She has been hanging out with dad....

Playing with her toys....

Hanging out in her room....

Learning how to eat crackers and puffs....

And attending (almost) Aunt Emily's bridal shower....

She sure is one popular girl.

My Old Forgotten Toys

Last week, my mom brought over a few of my old toys. She says that since we have tons of storage space in the house, she is going to be bringing things over from time to time now, because she is tired of storing them for me. (Uh, thanks, mom!) Anyway, I wondered what was in the big garbage bag she had with her the other day, but it couldn't have been better stuff! I forgot about half of the old toys that she had in there - some were really old, like from when I was Katie's age! I let Kate play with them on the floor for awhile, and to her they were new, so of course she loved them. Thanks, mom, for bringing these toys over and letting them have a second chance at life with Kate now.

Reading the Catholic Times

The other day, as I got Kate ready for her lunch, I had the mail sitting on the end of the counter. When we became members of St. Anthony parish, we started getting the Catholic Times. An issue comes every couple of weeks, and one was a part of the pile of mail that day. Since Kate doesn't miss a thing and she is as fast as lightning, she grabbed the paper before I could stop her. I thought we might have to prod her a little bit to read, but apparently she already enjoys it.
