Fun at the Fair!

During one of the last weeks of summer, we were able to take the kids to the county fair, and obviously they had such a great time! My mom and dad and I took the kids on one of the armband nights, which meant unlimited rides all night long. Kate lovvvvvved every ride we let her go on, and James did a great job too! He stuck to the smaller rides, while daredevil Kate made me go on a few with her that made my knees wobble. Before the rides were even over, she was begging me, "Let's go again, mom!" I have a feeling Greg and I are in for it with this girl....

Decatur Zoo and Children's Museum Visit

This past Friday, Greg and I took the kids to the Decatur Zoo and Children's Museum with some neighborhood friends who have kids the same age as Kate and James. We all had a great time, and I am  happy to report that Kate handled the snake building much better than last year, which means no screaming this time! James was brave too, and ran around after Kate while we looked at all the animals. He had a great time at the petting zoo, and was even able to pet a baby chick! 

At the museum, the kids were able to play grocery story and post office, paint on windows, drive an ambulance and airplane, and see how static electricity works. We all had a wonderful day, and the kids are still talking about our trip.
