I Love You, Mama

In the following video, I quiz Kate on some of her favorite words. Toward the end, I asked her to say, "I love you," and she added "mama" to the end of it, which absolutely melted my heart. My favorite part of the video, however, is at the very end, where she sighs with contentment because she is on her daddy's lap, snuggled beside him while watching basketball.

Just Hanging Around

Ready for School...Or So She Thinks

The other day, Kate found her school backpack on the floor of the laundry room. She emerged shouting, "School, school!" When I turned to see what she needed, this is the outfit (and hair!) I saw:

This was the reaction James gave me, which is probably the most hilarious photo of him to date:

These two are best buddies, most of the time. I have a feeling that pretty soon it will be James who is being forced to wear Kate's princess crown.

Farm Girl

The day after we baptized James, we went to Greg's mom and dad's house to visit everyone who made the trip to celebrate with us. As you can see, Kate likes playing on the farm with her cousins.

James's Baptism

Last weekend, we had James's baptism at St. Anthony Catholic Church. This church is especially important to us because Kate was baptized there last year, and my twin brother and I were baptized there when we were only a few months old. James did a great job while mass was going on; big sister, however, had to leave the pew a few times. During the baptism ceremony, James didn't really cry; he mostly fussed and slept. He was a such a good boy during his ceremony! A big thanks go out to my family and Greg's, who helped a ton during the day, especially my parents, who wrangled Kate during most of the mass and baptism itself.  She was a little out of sorts, but she looked darned cute in her pigtails and pretty dress! It was a great day that was filled with family and love.
