Our New Playset

For awhile now, Greg has really wanted to get a playset for the backyard. Well, we finally pulled the trigger and ordered one from Menard's. Greg spent a lot of time picking out a great set that both kids will enjoy and grow into in the years to come. We started early with my dad and Greg's dad. Fortunately for us, my dad comes with lots of carpentry experience and Greg's dad always comes prepared with lots of tools and tractors to help; both were needed to finish this big project. I'm sure the neighbors didn't quite know what to think as Art pulled up with all of his equipment. By the end of the day, we had about 12 hours of work done on the project. Both of Greg's brothers came to help and we got the playset done for the kids! We have been enjoying it a lot this summer, especially when the weather hasn't hit triple digits!

This is the scene our neighbors woke up to find early in the morning.

Kate had to stop and fuel up with a hashbrown from McDonald's that Grandma Terri brought for her.

James didn't know what to think about all of the commotion, so he stuck close to Grandma.

These guys we working hard most of the day.

Kate had to show off her new purse and felt that the middle of the construction zone was the perfect place to do just that.

The kids started to enjoy their new toy after all the work was done in the evening.

Hiding from Mom

The other day, I told Kate to get her school bag and put it away. Ten minutes later, I couldn't find her because she was hiding out in the closet and got distracted.
