Jammie Time

These last few days, Greg had to work all day Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. So, Kate and I decided to just hang around in our pajamas having a lazy weekend. She looks a lot cuter in hers than I do in mine.

Black Friday

Katie and I spent our Black Friday together playing with her ball popper. As much as I love shopping, I avoid the crowds and craziness every year. I only shopped online a little bit. Don't tell Greg!

Home Alone; Disclaimer: Katie was not Left Unattended

Greg and I watched Home Alone today, one of our favorite holiday traditions. Maybe it was the fact that we were the same age as Macaulay Culkin when the movie came out, but WE LOVE THIS MOVIE!  This year is extra special, because we got to introduce Katie to our little family tradition. We already have the tree and decorations up, so it felt like the holiday season already. Anyway, as we were watching the movie, we noticed a scene where Kevin just woke up and has crazy hair. Notice any similarities? No wonder we love this movie!

Teeth!

If you look really closely, you can see the buds of Katie's two bottom teeth coming in. She seems pretty happy about being such a big girl.

Katie's Crazy Hair

Katie's hair is getting very long. It often defies gravity and stands straight up.  I was greeted with a surprise Wednesday when I picked her up from school; her teachers gave her pigtails. I have to say she looks pretty cute.

Visitors

This past Halloween weekend, Katie had lots of visitors. On Saturday, my friend, Megan, came over with her daughter, Grace. Megan is 5'2" and Gracie takes after her. Grace will be one year old in about three weeks, and Kate is not only longer, she is fatter too. Go figure! Despite the size difference, the girls played quite nicely together.

Later that day, Greg and I brought Kate to trick or treat at some of our favorite neighbors. First up was the Hartman house. They got Katie some banana baby food and two books instead of regular trick or treat candy.

Kristen with Katie. She is always exited to see Kate and hold her.

Kara with Katie. Kara is a Halloween baby, and she turned 20 years old on Sunday. I can't believe I have former students who are this old! Happy birthday, Kara!

Jill with Kate - she loves this kid, whether Katie is screaming or laughing.

Michelle and Michael, some of our favorite neighbors around the corner.

Michelle and her mom, Julie, who calls Kate "my baby Katie."
