Quick Trip to the Farm

Last Saturday, Greg and I, along with the kids, took a quick day trip to his parents' farm. We were able to see Greg's aunts and uncles and the kids were even able to ride on a vintage tractor that belonged to grandpa Phillip Uebinger, Art's dad. I think the pictures speak for themselves: the kids love the farm!

James checked out the wheels pretty thoroughly. I don't know if he knew what to think!

James with Uncle Mark, who is always pretty sweet with him. Now, if only he could be that nice to me. Just kidding!

James thought he was actually driving all by himself. I think he liked it a little too much!

Grandpa with both of his farm kids - they both love to be outside "helping" any time they can.

Three generations of Uebinger men.

James really enjoyed his first barrel ride. He had several pillows and blankets all around him in case there was an unexpected bump. Fortunately, there weren't any big bumps.

More tractor rides from grandpa Uebinger and dad.

It's safe to say they had a great trip!

Kate's Big Day

Yesterday, Kate got to be a flower girl in a family friend's wedding. To her, this meant a "sparkly dress" and "pretty hair." Her hair appointment was at 9:15 but the wedding wasn't until 3. Cue me, freaking out over that time span and how to keep a two-year old from completely ruining her hair. Between 10 and 3, she ended up doing three somersaults and rolling all over her bed, and James pulled at it twice. Needless to say, I couldn't get her to the church fast enough. She did a wonderful job during the pre-ceremony pictures and she walked up and down that aisle like a champ! Greg and I even got compliments on how well she did, especially because she isn't even two and a half yet. We had a great time celebrating Kristen and Kory's big day, and I was decidedly less stressed once the church part of the day was over with!

Getting her hair done - she sat sooo still!

James's Nine Month Photos

About a month ago, I finally got around to booking a nine-month photo session for James. We ended up getting some really great shots, which were all taken right before a massive thunderstorm. The session was really about James, but of course, Kate had to get into some shots, and she and James both had a pretty good time posing for the camera!
