This past Friday night, we held Senior Night for our EHS football team. It also happened to be Breast Cancer Awareness Night, so Greg, Kate, and I all wore pink to honor the occasion. I was excited to go to the game; we had beautiful weather and Kate was in a great mood since she had an extra-long nap at daycare in anticipation of the night. Now, since I am from T-town and have never been raised in a football community, I clearly don't know much about the game. But I love sports and this is a great group of kids. I have had the pleasure of teaching (and yelling at!) all of them for the last few years. Greg and I decided that Kate would probably love the game, and we were right! She sat next to Brady Wilson, Becky and Brett's son, and Johnny Gannaway, Steph and Nathan's boy. The kids are all friends from daycare and enjoyed making us parents run around after them in our section of the bleachers. It was an eventful game, with lots of scoring. This doesn't mean much to me, the non-football fan, but Kate loved the fireworks after every home touchdown! She even clapped and cheered on all the big plays along with the rest of the stands. I choose to think this behavior is indicative of a sports fan, rather than her possibly becoming a future cheerleader. One can hope, right?
Gearing up to go to the big game!
Posing with her favorite buddy, Dad.
Not quite ready for this picture, but she's cute anyway!
Me, in all my nine-months pregnant glory.
Seriously, is he here yet?!
